Recently I attended the Welcome Home photography workshop with Emma Case & Pete Smyth in London. This workshop is all about streamlining your photography business, working with couples and most importantly it’s about defining why we do what we do. Emma’s story is inspiring and her approach to wedding photography is exactly what I would want on my wedding day and what I want to offer my couples. The little things, the real things. The moments and details that make you, you. I want to capture my couples in an authentic way. The way you smile at each other, laugh at his jokes, hold hands when you think no-one’s watching. Real, honest, emotional and beautiful. We ended the day with a couples shoot around the streets in Dalston, here’s a few of my images from the day.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this workshop for any aspiring wedding photographers who like to do things a bit differently. Last year I attended Marianne Taylor’s workshop (where incidentally I photographed Emma & Pete) and a Photography Farm elements course, both of which were so valuable for me as I started my business.
