2016 Highlights

Twenty sixteen was a year full of amazing moments. Real moments, funny moments, natural moments, emotional moments. Moments of pure joy & happiness and moments of stillness & quiet. A year packed with beautiful weddings, tiny intimate London weddings, elegant Mayfair members club weddings, eccentric country manor house weddings, urban city weddings, relaxed pub weddings, barn weddings, beach weddings & woodland weddings. It’s been a wonderful year capturing so many amazing days & I’ve loved reliving each one as I picked my favourite images for this post. I’ve had work published in Rock My Wedding, London Bride, Junebug Weddings, Looks Like Film, …

Dungeness engagement photography in Kent, England – Matt & Suzy

A natural engagement session in Dungeness, Kent on the south coast of England. Matt & Suzy showed me around this amazing site with decaying boats & old fishing huts and the largest shingle beach in Europe. These two are planning a vintage, mad hatters tea party wedding at the stunning Preston Court in Kent and I can’t wait to see what they come up with. Genevieve from Miss Gen Photography is a London based photographer specialising in creative reportage wedding photography – documentary style photography that tells the story of your day and creative, natural couples portraits. A Beautiful outdoor Peach Orchard & Riverside Wedding in Canberra, Australia (sneak peek)

Last Friday I shot two epic styled shoots with some truly amazing collaborators at the stunning Pialligo Estate Winery in Canberra. A fitting end to my month in Australia & New Zealand, it was so great to work with Vicky from Rockstars & Royalty (just wait till you see her stunning red & white ombre dress!) and Fionna from Peony’n’Pearl (beautiful flowers as always). This time last year we created this stunning Fairytale Tea Party in a redwood forest in Canberra. We battled thunderstorms all day & shot in between rain showers but were blessed with the most beautiful sunset when …

A Black Sand Beach Wedding in New Zealand – Andrea & Dylan (sneak peek)

I’ve had the most amazing month travelling around Australia & New Zealand, shooting weddings with my talented friend Nisha Ravji. Here’s a sneak peek from Andrea & Dylan’s stunning New Zealand wedding. We drove down to the beach to catch the last light & some stunning sunset images with that beautiful dress on the black sand beach. I love this image so I was super excited to see it win Photography Farm’s ‘Image of the Week‘. I have to say a big thank you to the lovely Nisha, it was an amazing experience travelling around New Zealand & shooting with you. Genevieve from …

Mallorca Travel Photography – Destination Inspiration

Port de Soller, a beautiful hidden gem in Mallorca. The antique wooden tram rattles along the promenade every 30 minutes, taking the touristas into the old town of Soller. Winding cobbled streets, bright sunshine, clear waters, mojitos made with local lemons (I know it’s supposed to be limes but hey, they were tasty!) and surrounded by mountains and spectacular sunsets. A perfect escape from busy Palma with lots of options for a sunset dinner along the promenade or a romantic drink at the swanky Jumeirah sunset bar overlooking the bay. I took this opportunity to test out my new Fuji X-E2 with 18mm f2.0 prime lens. …

Trelissick Garden Cornwall – Destination Inspiration

Trelissick Garden is situated on its own peninsula with stunning views of the estuary of the River Fal, with over 30 acres of gardens full of hydrangeas, rhododendrons, camellias, hidden nooks & lovely vistas. We visited in June so were a bit late for most of the rhododendrons but just in time to catch lots of gorgeous hydrangeas and some cows grazing in front of the manor house. On this visit I fell in love with the vibrant hot pink geraniums, a plant I never used to like! So much so that I brought 2 plants back to London for the garden.  A …

A mini-break in Perrenporth, Cornwall

Sun, beach, seagulls, fish & chips, National Trust gardens, rolling hills, narrow lanes, stormy skies & spectacular sunsets. The most beautiful coastline in England, a few nights in Perrenporth, Padstow & Port Isaac, Cornwall. Occasionally the english beaches remind me of home… 😉

Paris in the spring time – destination inspiration

Paris, the Eiffel Tower, sunset from the rooftop bar on the Centre Georges Pompidou, the view from the top of Galeries Lafayette, the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur, Montmartre, Sainte-Chapelle & Notre Dame de Paris. With the Eurostar from St Pancras you could be in Paris in only 2 hours, a perfect destination for a couples session or an engagement shoot.

Chelsea Flower Show

It was my first visit to the Chelsea Flower Show this year and it was absolutely gorgeous. Lots of beautiful flowers to come but for now some stunning purple Lillies from the show tent.

Sea & sunsets in Santorini – travel & destination wedding photographer

With the prettiest town & possibly the most stunning sunsets in Europe, the Greek isle of Santorini in the southern Cyclades is the ideal holiday and wedding destination. The beautiful town of Oia, perched on the north coast of the island is the most picturesque with marble streets and truly spectacular sunsets. Filled with iconic blue domed churches with white washed walls, bell towers and cave houses built into the cliff face. Spend a day on a traditional ship exploring the active volcano and hot springs then climb the many steps to Oia for the colourful sunset. It’s easy to …
