England has some truly stunning countryside, beautiful castles, manor houses and estates. The English National Trust owns so many stunning properties throughout the UK, just perfect for a day trip, a family picnic or a romantic stroll. I love to spend weekends exploring old houses, magnificent gardens and wandering in the bluebells. On this particular day we visited three gorgeous country estates with moated castles, romantic gardens and extensive woodlands.

Bateman’s House in East Sussex, a 17th Century Jacobean house in the wooded Sussex Weald.
Scotney Castle in Kent, a 14th Century moated castle, a country house & wooded estate.

Scotney Castle is available for private hire as a wedding venue. If you’re planning to get married at Scotney Castle or anywhere else in the lovely English countryside then do get in touch, I’d love to photograph your wedding!

It’s the eye for detail that stands out for me here – some gorgeous images and I hope to be able to shoot at some of these venues one day – and if I do, to capture them as beautifully as you have.

Lovely work.

Looks fantastic! Gorgeous setting for a wedding.

Wonderful shots and stunning locations! We are so lucky to live in a country so rich in history with such beautiful old buildings, easy to forget this 🙂

Lovely images and it looks like an amazing day trip. The colours are beautiful and capture that first feeling of spring. I did a double take at the fish… brilliant photo!

Some absolutely fabulous venues there, if only I was so lucky at times to have these places to shoot!

Lovely – especially keen on the one of the fish poking out of the water. That’s genius!
