Elegant Red Ombre Wedding Dress & Gold Sparkly Wedding Inspiration in Pialligo, Canberra

Metallic, colourful wedding inspiration with organic and abundant florals, a gold sequin dress and a red & white ombre gown in an exclusive Winery location in Canberra, Australia.

This elegant wedding inspiration focuses on metallic and colour with loose, organic and abundant florals. Fionna created stunning florals with deep rich red flowers perfectly complimenting the emerald greens and dusty pink with a sprinkle of white to highlight. The abundant bouquet and flower crown were made with David Austin roses, Cymbidium orchids, dahlia, lisianthus, misty, hydrangea, ivy berries, and a quirky touch: mini lotus pods.

Vicky’s statement gowns looked stunning in the overcast light, we ended up shooting in the rain but the colours look amazing against the dark grey sky (perfect inspiration for brides worried about rain on their wedding day). The gold sequin dress is a fun, flirty but elegant piece perfectly matched with the abundant deep red bouquet. We paired an oversized fresh flower crown with the stunning ombre dress filled with orchids & lotus pods. This dress is the perfect canvas for such a novel statement piece.

The table & bar setting is filled with sparkling gold vases and statement red florals, continuing the metallic, colourful theme.

This red & white ombre dress is so beautiful, designed by Vicky from Rockstars & Royalty, the metres of silk were hand dyed creating a stunning alternative wedding dress. It was so great to work with this talented bunch of Canberra wedding professionals, I always love to shoot when I’m in my home town visiting family and friends. This has to be one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen. Designed by Vicky from Rockstars & Royalty, the metres of silk were hand dyed creating a stunning red & white ombre effect. Another sneak peek from a beautiful styled shoot at Pialligo Estate Winery in Canberra, shot on a recent visit back to Australia in January. It was so great to work with Vicky from Rockstars & Royalty and Fionna from Peony’n’Pearl (look at that amazing flower crown!). A Beautiful outdoor Peach Orchard & Riverside Wedding in Canberra, Australia (sneak peek)

Last Friday I shot two epic styled shoots with some truly amazing collaborators at the stunning Pialligo Estate Winery in Canberra. A fitting end to my month in Australia & New Zealand, it was so great to work with Vicky from Rockstars & Royalty (just wait till you see her stunning red & white ombre dress!) and Fionna from Peony’n’Pearl (beautiful flowers as always). This time last year we created this stunning Fairytale Tea Party in a redwood forest in Canberra.

We battled thunderstorms all day & shot in between rain showers but were blessed with the most beautiful sunset when we ended the day down by the Molonglo River. I love this shot because the light is stunning and the models are beautiful but it looks so natural, it could easily be from a real wedding. Woodland Elopement Inspiration Photography in London, England, UK

Faith and I dreamt up this beautiful woodland elopement inspiration shoot while drinking tea in an East London cafe. We decided to create a romantic woodland shoot to showcase some beautiful pieces from local UK designers in a stunning forest setting in London. Faith’s ‘Florence’ dress from her brand new label: She Walks In Beauty, is a gorgeous gown made from champagne and ivory silk satin, with an embellished tulle overlay. Kelly’s stunning woodland inspired gold head pieces perfectly compliment the whimsical, elegant feel of this woodland elopement. Lauren’s cakes, Sarah’s flowers, Caroline’s stationery & Elle Au Naturel’s hair & makeup all combined so perfectly to complete the looks.

I love how this shoot came together with an amazing team of talented women including Kelly Spence winner of the national award for Best Accessory Designer in the United Kingdom at the Wedding Industry Awards 2015 (congratulations Kelly!).

Some pretty, urban bridal inspiration today, shot in an East London warehouse with gorgeous florals by Ivy Pip & Rose and wedding dresses & veils by Faith Caton-Barber. This shoot contrasts the pretty feminine style with an urban warehouse environment. I love the flower crowns made by Ivy Pip & Rose and the super pretty makeup by Lilly Black. The Sleeping Beauty Bride – A London Bridal Fashion Story

I imagined a fairytale bride asleep in a bed of tulle overgrown with ivy and spring blooms. When I explained my idea to some London based designers, I was lucky to find a fantastic group of people who wanted to help make the shoot a reality.

The fairytale bride resonated with my collaborators who loved the idea of a sleeping beauty inspiration shoot and I found two beautiful models who embodied the princess/pixie/vintage look perfectly.

This shoot draws on the fairytale idea incorporating a modern editorial twist while showcasing London bridal fashion from up-and-coming designers. I chose an industrial warehouse as the location to give the fairytale a modern feel. We took elements from the Briar Rose story and created something that modern brides can relate to with ideas they can use in their own weddings. I love the contrast between the pretty styling and the gritty urban environment.

The antique headpieces are made of wax and have been lovingly restored by Rosie Weisencrantz. With their delicate feminine quality, they convey a sense of romance and nostalgia that can only ever be truly appreciated through the veil of time. Each piece is unique, fragile & beautiful.

Faith’s bridal gowns have a whimsical feel, are super flattering and are intricately designed. Rebecca from Ivy Pip & Rose really embraced the theme and created some stunning wild & rustic bouquets, floral crowns and floral and ivy trails.

This whimsical, fairytale inspiration shoot was a pleasure to create with a great group of London designers, models and artists. I loved shooting this fashion story and seeing my idea come to life (see the behind the scenes images here).
