They originally planned a large wedding in the UK and with all the restrictions in the UK meaning their tiny backyard wedding couldn’t go ahead, they moved their intimate wedding to Sweden. They were married in a stunning location, overlooking the Swedish archipelago just outside of Gothenburg. Eleanor’s dad officiated the ceremony, Eleanor’s mum said a prayer & Seb’s parents sang in what was a truly heartfelt & unique ceremony. This day was so wonderful, a relaxed celebration with music, lobster & some typical Autumnal weather, including freezing rain & wind!

It was an absolute pleasure to capture this beautiful day with the loveliest people in a stunning location. Destination elopements are an amazing way to celebrate your marriage & share a new experience somewhere spectacular. The day before the wedding, we met for some relaxed couples portraits in the pretty cobbled streets of Ravello before walking to their welcome cocktails in the gardens of Belmond Hotel Caruso and their rehearsal dinner at Palazzo Avino (previews from their day before celebrations coming soon!).

I absolutely loved Ying’s beaded lace mermaid gown with detachable romantic bell sleeves by Lee Petra Grebenau and Mike looked so handsome in a tux by Dolce & Gabbana.

Their wedding was inspired by a vintage and a travel theme… both being world travellers and with guests in attendance from 11 different countries all over the world.

Paul & Vicky’s engagement story is pretty amazing & romantic.

Paul proposed on my birthday in November 2014; it was an amazing day. We had rented a little chapel in Cornwall for the week and the morning of my birthday a Rolls Royce arrived to collect us to take us to a secret location- a beautiful stately home in Devon. Paul had arranged for our Yorkshire Terrier Millie to come with us and when we arrived at the stately home we were met by the owners with champagne and Millie was also greeted as if she was royalty. I realised at that point that he had hired the entire place for the afternoon so we had full run of the house.

 

We sat and had champagne by the fire and looked at the carefully planned menu that was designed just for me- it even had my name on it. We were then escorted to our private dining area at the top of a grand staircase with candelabras and frescos, which was incredible!

 

After this we were off to the Eden Project as Paul had hired out the whole place for the evening. We were escorted in for more champagne and there was a small 2 piece band playing just for us.  We had full run of the place to wander around the gardens together and I was sure that maybe the time was now, but no, there was still more to come in this incredible day.

 

We watched the stars come out over the domes and it was truly magical, and then got back in the Rolls and off to yet another secret destination. After a long drive we ended up back at our chapel where we were met at the door by Tracy, our soon to be wedding planner, and a private chef. The chapel had been fully dressed with flowers and candles everywhere and a dining table had been set.

 

After everyone had left Paul go down on both knees and asked me to spend my life with him. I of course said yes…

Miss Gen was amazing… she was there at every turn, I don’t think she sat down once- that camera was snapping and flashing all the time. I think we can all see by the results that she is great at what she does, we chose her because she had a more unique style to other wedding photographers.

The venue was styled with vintage suit cases from Paris, shabby chic candle holders, apple crates and vintage boxes. The table settings were vintage aeroplanes named with the countries around the world where the guests were from.

I loved my morning with my sister and 2 best friends, one even flew over from Australia to be by my side.

Sadly, Vicky’s parents were not able to fly from Australia for the wedding, so her sister proudly walked her down the aisle instead to ‘I Was Made For Loving You’ by Maria Mena.

I made the wedding favours to go with the vintage travel theme. We had three layers- the bottom was home-made chocolate bars wrapped in atlas paper, the second layer was a cream vintage suit case with our own brand of home-made tea and the top layer was a brown parcel box with vintage sweets.

As my husband was a little bit of a metal head in his youth… our first dance was to the original version of ‘I was made for loving you’ by KISS

Favourite parts of the day:

I loved my morning with my sister and two best friends, one of whom had flown over from Australia for the weekend to be by my side, it was a very valued time. Another favourite moment was when I saw my husband waiting for me at the end of the aisle, I was filled with emotion. I also loved the time that Paul and I had alone with Miss Gen.

Words of wisdom from Vicky:

Relax and enjoy the day, try not to let it become a circus about others, it is your day to share. A wedding is just one day, a marriage is about the rest of your lives together.

We wanted a relaxed, boho and fun wedding. We’re not very formal people and we love to have fun so for us we wanted it to feel like minimal fuss and for everyone to have a blast.

Anna and Jonathan created a bohemian, romantic wedding day at Jervaulx Abbey in Yorkshire. The Cistercian Abbey was a stunning backdrop to the outdoor garden ceremony with guests throwing rose petal confetti before drinking champagne and exploring the overgrown ruins. The teepee provided a relaxed atmosphere & a welcome retreat from the torrential rain showers! I loved shooting around the beautiful grounds of Jervaulx Abbey. The perfect venue for a relaxed Yorkshire wedding.

My favourite moment was Jonathan’s speech. Jon can be quite shy and I know that he had been so busy with work in the run up to the wedding that he was struggling to find the time to write it. The speech was funny and also very beautfiul. I loved every moment of it.

Anna’s words of wisdom for future brides:

Have fun, it will be stressful but on the day whatever you do don’t stress about a thing as it flies by and you’ll be sad when it’s over.

There were a few reasons why Jamie and I choose to get married in the South of France. The idea of a destination wedding had always appealed to us, we love holidays with friends and as I am Australian and Jamie English it meant the world to have all our family and friends in one place for as long as possible. We went to the Cote d’Azur on our first holiday together and said at the time how wonderful it would be to bring loved ones back there if we ever got married – so just over two years later that’s exactly what we did! It was such a joy to photograph this gorgeous wedding and get to know Moya & Jamie. Here are some of my favourite images from this beautiful Provence wedding. Scroll down for full credits.

Moya & Jamie drew inspiration from the Bastide, creating an elegant style with herb & lavender pots on the tables and silver tea light holders. She wore a stunning Australian designer wedding dress by Gwendolynne with pretty boho tousled plaits and a bouquet of white peony roses with lambs ear details. Her bridesmaids wore grey dresses from Watters with bouquets of lavender & baby’s breath. Jamie looked dapper in a suit, tie & shoes from Ted Baker in London.

Ultimately, what made the day so special was making promises to each other in front of our friends and family, and it’s definitely important to keep sight of that as you’re planning. It was so special for us to have guests from all over the world together for at least the day – some we were able to spend the whole week with – an experience that we are unlikely to ever have again and we truly cherish. Jamie & Moya decided to have a ‘first look’ before their wedding ceremony. They were so excited to see each other having spent the morning getting ready in different parts of the house. Jamie waited in the garden & was blown away by how stunning Moya looked in her Gwendolynne gown. We took a stroll around the gardens to capture some natural couples portraits before all the guests arrived.

Being lovers of food, they hired a London based Chef to fly to France to cater the wedding and the food was spectacular. They also chose a tower of cheese for their wedding cake which doubled as a midnight snack for their guests.

We could not be happier with our choice of photographer and videographer. We knew as soon as we saw Miss Gen’s work that she was the kind of wedding photographer we wanted – she has an amazing eye for a beautiful shot and a way of capturing people and moments that have really brought our day to life afterwards. Irene Piera Film’s work is fabulous too, everyone we have shown our wedding video to says it really feels like you are back there, and we feel so lucky to have such a brilliant memento of the day – especially the speeches and ceremony which really flew by!!
